Sandra Jasmin has a strong foundation in design and visual storytelling. Originally from Germany, she immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, in 1998, bringing a background in civil, landscape, and urban planning. Following her passion for film, she earned a Master’s in Digital Media – 3D VFX and Compositing before transitioning into the industry full-time in 2003.
Sandra has worked on major American productions across Canada and recently in Sydney, Australia, contributing to projects for Netflix, Apple TV+, Disney+/Paramount, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, and others. As an Art Director and Supervising Art Director, she specializes in the design, planning, and execution of complex sets, collaborating closely with production designers, directors, and art departments to bring creative visions to life. She refined her skills through art direction training at Pinewood Studios in England with industry veterans Terry Ackland-Snow and Ray Stanley. She is a member of IATSE 891, the DGC, the BFDG, and BECTU.
From 2002 to 2005, she also served as president of Basic Inquiry, a nonprofit life drawing society in Vancouver, where she played a pivotal role in shaping its creative programming.
Holding a Dutch EU passport and Canadian permanent residency, Sandra brings a global perspective to her work, blending technical precision, creative leadership, and problem-solving in the world of film production. She is particularly interested in expanding her career opportunities and contributing her expertise to projects in Europe and the UK.
Her most recent achievement includes working on the Emmy-winning 'The Spiderwick Chronicles' (2025), which was recognized for Outstanding Art Direction, Set Decoration & Scenic Design in a Single Camera Program.
